Hi, I’m Ash — the founder of Netfix’d.
Technology has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I’ve worked in and around the industry most of my career, and I’ve always been the person friends and family call when something stops working.
I genuinely enjoy keeping up with the latest developments — faster internet, smarter devices, better systems. But over time, I noticed something important.
As technology improves, it isn’t necessarily becoming easier for everyone.
People like my dad — who I love to bits — can feel completely overwhelmed when it comes to things like passwords, updates, and security changes. What seems simple to some can quickly become frustrating and stressful for others.
And he’s not alone.
While working for one of the larger tech providers in town, it was a daily occurrence to refer customers to other services for help — often expensive services with very strict boundaries around what they would and wouldn’t assist with.
I’ve also seen it from the other side. Family members would book a technician for one issue — say a printer setup — only to find that even if the job took ten minutes, additional small questions were treated as separate work, despite being charged for a full hour.
That never sat right with me.
Technology problems don’t happen one at a time. They stack up. And when someone asks for help, they’re usually already feeling frustrated.
Netfix’d was built to bridge that gap.
My approach is simple:
Explain things clearly
Don’t overcomplicate solutions
Don’t upsell unnecessary equipment
If there’s time left during a booking and something small can be sorted, sort it
Treat people with patience and respect
Based in Tauranga, I provide straightforward, reliable tech support to homes and retirement communities — helping people stay connected, confident, and secure.
If something isn’t working, I’ll fix it.
If it can be explained simply, I’ll explain it.
If it can be solved over the phone, I’ll save you the callout fee.
And if I’m not the right person for the job, I’ll point you in the right direction.
